In Piddington village, residents held a referendum and voted to leave the UK due to an asylum centre proposal. Lisa Nandy responded to the vote. She stated the government will hear from the residents and take their views on board.

The government announced new 42 Young Futures Hubs across England. These hubs support young people with life's challenges and provide support. Four hubs will be in Greater Manchester, after a pilot scheme in the area. New hubs are planned for Lancashire, Blackpool, and the North East under the expansion plan.
