Sacramento Kings guard Darius Acuff Jr. scored 25 points and eight assists in a preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers, turning heads as one of the brighter spots in the Kings' early exhibition slate.

In a separate preseason outing against the Golden State Warriors, Sacramento mounted a late run but could not hold on. The loss was clouded by a serious concern: center Maxime Raynaud left the game in a wheelchair with an apparent knee injury, putting a damper on the team's preseason expectations.
